The Company has been named in honour of the person who introduced the first stencil duplicating machine to the world.
David Gestetner the inventor of the stencil duplicating machine would not have envisaged the impact that the invention would have around the globe.
The product was widely used in almost all organizations around the world.
Gestetner products first reached the shores of Sri Lanka over 70 years ago Beginning with the simple stencil duplicating machine, the product range has grown over the years. From analog B&W photocopiers to digital B&W photocopiers. Now included in the range is the state of the art colour photocopier which is widely used as a network colour and B&W printer as well as a copier and scanner.
In addition to the above, the Company now markets Digital Duplicators under the Gestetner brand, Daito stencil duplicators, Fujitsu Laptops and Ricoh brand printers.
Having pioneered the introduction of digital photocopiers to Sri Lanka the Company today is one of the leading organizations involved in outsourcing the use of photocopiers branded under the Passport to Profits (P2P) concept. Leading business organizations use this concept today to reduce capital costs and to have a hassle free service.
Today the Gestetner brand is the undisputed market leader in Sri Lanka of colour photocopiers. The Company has been able to help business organizations to reduce copying costs by networking the copier to many computers and thereby eliminate many stand alone small printers which are not operationally cost effective.
The Company also provides total document solutions to many corporate customers. A dedicated team is available at call who will do a need survey and suggest to customers how they could reduce copy costs using both hardware and software solutions.
